Between snow days and sick days our routine has really been wacky! We finished Greek word parts and have moved on to Latin. There will be a test over the 42 most common Latin roots on Monday, January 23rd. The list is available to study on Quizlet, click the link below.

I hope you spent your snow day having loads of fun! We have a great 2 weeks ahead of us as we will be working on Greek and Latin word parts. Learning these word parts can unlock a world of unknown words for you by giving you clues to the meaning of the unfamiliar words you encounter. This week we will be focusing on 42 of the most common Greek roots. You will be tested on the meaning of these word parts on Friday!
I hope your break was AWESOME and that you are recharged for 2nd Semester!!!! Take this clean slate seriously...start off with hard work and your best effort. Over the three days this week we will be talking about the structures author's choose when writing nonfiction text and how to identify each. ATTENANCE is SO IMPORTANT please make it a goal not to miss this semester.
