Wednesday, Nov 1- We will be our final "performance" of Sleepy Hollow. We are just performing for ourselves, but we are having a great time! Thursday, Nov 2- Library Day, be ready to read and work on book reports! Friday, Nov 3- Book Reports are Due!!! ** Book Order extension! If you would like to order I had someone ask for one more day...I will be inputting our order tomorrow. THANKS for your orders.

Welcome Back! I hope you had a nice break! This week will we begin a short reader's theater unit using Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Each student will be assigned a part in the reader's theater play that will we act out next Tuesday in class. We will be looking closely at the characters, plot, and setting of the story and explore the mood and tone established by Irving as well. We will have a vocabulary quiz over story words this Friday. The middle school library is selling Frontier City Fright Fest tickets.The tickets include a full day of rides, shows, and the Nightmare Haunted House and are valid any regular operating day Sept 30-Oct 29th. Tickets at the park gate are $50, but are being offered through the library for $30. If you are interested I can send a form home with your child or contact Diane Gordon at the Middle School Library at 547-5715. For more information about Fright Fest...click the banner below. Homecoming Spirit Week was a success, lots of dressing up and laughter. The middle school football teams 7th, 8th, and 9th all won games Tuesday, as the did 6th grade Bandits representing the P-T in Edmond. The midweek bonfire was a success, the girls softball team experienced a great run at a 4A title, and tonight we look forward to the Demon footballers putting up a win against Blackwell in our homecoming game. Lastly, our 7th hour class was charged with decorating the door for a school-wide contest and they did a great job! All-in-all it was a great week to be a Demon. #ptpride #godemons Looking Ahead:
Next Monday and Tuesday, October 16-17 are Parent-Teacher Conference nights. The meetings are just "first come", no appointments are required. We will be available from 3:30-6:45. Next Tuesday, Oct 17th wear your favorite baseball team jersey or t-shirt!! We will be wrapping up our baseball unit and other 6th grade classrooms will be getting in on the fun. ![]()
Football Homecoming will be celebrated is this Friday, October 13th as the Demons face the Blackwell Maroons. That means.....SPIRIT WEEK!
Monday- Pajama Day Tuesday- Hawaiian Day Wednesday- 80's Day Thursday- Patriotic Day Friday- Black and White Day There will also be a community pep assembly and bonfire on Wednesday night, October 11th.
In class we will continue our baseball unit. There will be a vocabulary quiz over the baseball words on Friday, October 13th.
