If you would like to order by classroom flyer, please send a check to SCHOLASTIC along with the order form before September 23rd. When you order through scholastic it earns our class points I can use toward the purchase of books for our classroom library....so it's a win, win! :) Thanks!
This video is very close to our lesson last week over the elements of plot and even covers the types of conflict! Please watch if you were absent Wednesday, Sept 7th! If you were here...it is a GREAT way to review as there will be questions on Friday's test covering these concepts. The test will also include the vocabulary we started last week so study over those as well using quizlet! Reading Test Friday! The office provides a number of things to students throughout the day to help them in a pinch. There is no longer a budget for many of the items that are used in the office. If you would like to donate gift cards or purchase these items at any time during the year it would be greatly appreciated!
What a great start we had last week! We survived all 5 days and were rewarded with a three day weekend. Can't beat that with a stick, as they say. This week we will we study the elements of plot structure. We will also begin using our new reading text books as we read Stray by Cynthia Rylant. There will be a 16-word vocabulary list that closely follows our story. Grade-wise expect an in-class assignment to test what we know about the types of conflict from last week and a vocabulary quiz on Friday. The same words will also appear next week on the end of story test over Stray. I have created a list on Quizlet for your vocabulary-building enjoyment. |
