What a great start we had last week! We survived all 5 days and were rewarded with a three day weekend. Can't beat that with a stick, as they say. This week we will we study the elements of plot structure. We will also begin using our new reading text books as we read Stray by Cynthia Rylant. There will be a 16-word vocabulary list that closely follows our story. Grade-wise expect an in-class assignment to test what we know about the types of conflict from last week and a vocabulary quiz on Friday. The same words will also appear next week on the end of story test over Stray. I have created a list on Quizlet for your vocabulary-building enjoyment.
