This week we are beginning a novel unit! We will be reading "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin. The first vocabulary quiz over story words is tentatively scheduled for April 11th. Follow the link below to begin studying these words. Next week we will be taking the state Reading and Math tests. The Reading test will be Monday, April 9th and the Math will follow on Thursday, April 12th. The students have been shown a schedule, they will either test in the morning or afternoon, not both. In order to get everyone in front of a computer to test, some students will be bused to the high school. ATTENDANCE ON THESE TWO DAYS IS SO VERY, VERY IMPORTANT. Please, make it a priority to be here. Also... get a good night's rest on the 8th and 11th...as in no Fortnite or Snap-chatting past 8. ;) Morning testers eat a good breakfast...afternoon testers bring a protein packed lunch...avoid heavy sugary things in both meals to avoid the crash mid-test. I can't wait to see how great you do, so be prepared to give it your best shot! There will be school April 13th to make up the April 2nd school day.We are finished with required book reports. The April book report is due April 30th. A passing AR test along with a completed report will count as a 100 and take the place of your lowest grade of the semester.
